In times of loss, the community of St. Damien of Molokai Parish stands with you. Our  Funeral Mass Ministry is dedicated to walking alongside families, offering both spiritual  guidance and practical support as we honor the lives of those who have passed. 

Planning the Mass of Christian Burial 

After families meet with the Funeral Home Director, one of our Funeral Mass ministry members will meet with the family to help prepare the funeral Mass liturgy. This sacred  process is designed to celebrate your loved one’s life while witnessing to our shared faith.  We assist with: 

• Scripture Selection: Choosing readings from the Old and New Testaments. • Sacred Music: Selecting hymns that provide comfort and prayerful reflection. 

• Liturgical Guidance: Explaining the symbols and rituals of the funeral Mass that reflect  our belief in eternal life. 

Special Musical Tribute 

At St. Gabriel Church, a dedicated Funeral Choir, the Good Shepherd Choir, is  available to sing during the Mass of Christian Burial, adding a layer of beauty and  solemnity to the liturgy through the gift of sacred song.
