About

Greeters are often the ‘first face’ of our parish family. This ministry of hospitality ensures that everyone who enters our churches feels welcomed. Our greeters are dedicated volunteers who serve with a spirit of kindness and order.

Key Responsibilities

The role of a greeter/usher blends warm hospitality with essential liturgical and practical duties:

  • Greeting congregants as they arrive and depart, answering questions, and assisting parishioners in finding comfortable seating.
  • Coordinating the gift bearers.
  • Facilitating the offertory collection and ensuring all donations are handled securely and reverently.  Often times, congregants will volunteer to assist greeters/ushers with the collection.
  • Distributing the weekly Bulletin.

Why Serve as a Greeter/Usher?

Being an Greeter/Usher is a wonderful way to meet your fellow parishioners and serve the Church without a significant time commitment outside of the Mass you already attend. It is a ministry of ‘presence’ – showing the love of Christ through a simple smile or a helping hand.

All Mass ministry volunteers use the Ministry Scheduler which allows you to identify the Mass(es) at which you would like to serve, dates/times when you are not available to serve at Mass, as well as submit requests for a substitute when you are unable to serve for a Mass for which you are scheduled.

Join The Team

We are always looking for friendly, reliable individuals to join our hospitality team. Whether you are a long-time parishioner or new to our community, we would love to have you!  If you are interested in serving please contact the Parish Office.
